We report to you on the financial highlights of our year here at the Cathedral with a small excess of revenues over expenditures before extraordinary items. It was a difficult year with many changes and challenges as we continued with our restoration project.
Our revenue items decreased from prior year levels with a drop in collections of over $30,000 due mainly to the closing of the church and having masses in the gathering spaces. Many other fluctuations occurr in the other gifts category.
Our operating expenses decreased primarily from a continued utility credit and less then usual repairs and maintenance because of the anticipated restoration project being well underway. Our salaries and benefits declined from the fewer hours needed for church operations.
With the continued restoration project interupting much of our services, we anticipate a challenging year ahead as we return to the newly restored facility and work toward binging our parishioners and friends back.
